Production Grustle

The Heavens are your LIGHTS, your eyes your CAMERAS, your destiny the script.....ACTION!!!!

All around creativity! Producing My Grind! Let's choreograph, script, direct, and produce a lifestyle!

It's the creativity, the adrenaline, the lights and the cameras. Your script is fresh off the printer and the stage manager is already telling you where to be! The choreography is beating through your chest "Come on, let's do it again, full out...5678!!!" The action on set is amazing! This is what I live for! Everyday, I work to make someone's life a lot more interesting, make sure I carry on that same drive the next day. Life is a movie, the streets are a stage, and my eyes are the cameras...see the world the way I see it!

How Do You Create?

How do you get creative? What do you do, or where do you go to spark your inspiration? Some people listen to music, others like to be around nature….I even knew a guy where his best ideas came from sitting on the old porcelaine throne! Haha! I think its important for everyone to excercise all types of ways to trigger their creativity. What if you’re getting an idea but you dont have music handy? What if you dont have to go potty? (When he told me that, I didnt even want to know if he was actually using the bathroom every time, eww!) Im not saying discard your secret creative weapon, just dont let it become your crutch. Try to write in silence on day. Or try an indoor photoshoot versus your standard outdoor. Create a script in a notebook (pen and paper) instead of you handy Macbook. Challenge your creative side to be more versatile, while keepinf your secret weapon for the really, reallt juicy ideas!

Heritage Film Festival

The Heritage Film Festival was great! It was really awesome seeing and hearing the different views and opinions from the audience about my short film "Unspoken", and them asking my different views about the industry. I encourage everyone to attend at least one film festival, just to get the experience, and see what's really going on behind the scenes!

What do YOU want?

What do you want from the entertainment industry?doesnt matter what field, Im just curious. Are all the movies in theaters tired? Need a new dance to do at the club? Sick of singing the same old love song with a different beat? Or are you fine with everything? Here's your chance to tell the industry what you want, or just to say "you're doin a great job!" I will start:

Dear Entertainers:
Can we please step our choreography game up a bit. We have all these dancers supporting you by dancing to your music in shows like "So You Think You Can Dance" or "Americas Best Dance Crew".....but the love isnt returned in your videos or tours. You dont have to dance, because I respect that some of you cant, and thats ok. But you can still you the dance world. Thanks!

Tired and Ready For More

Just walked in the house from a ten hour day...only to go home and shower, then go back and do it again in less than 5 hours (and that includes the commute!). Idk what I would be doing if I didnt have a passion for this. But even in the bored state that I will get every now and then, I would still do this than a government, 9-5, pencil pushin desk job any day! Everyday is something new for me. In a few hours, I will be on set running playbacks (videos) for a show. When my script is in my hand and my equipment is ready....no lack of sleep can stop me!!!

Production Mode

It's been a long day. Im trying to get in the habit of posting....Im still getting use to this. Audio Visual work can really be draining, but it does have it's rewards and perks. I have done a lot of things that I couldnt accomplish on my own: Spotlight for President Obama, Camera for 1st Lady Obama, Camera for VP Biden, Fight Night...my resume of production work goes on! Including the crappy stuff! The mondane podiums and projectors can get to me sometimes....but when I get that one event every so often that lets me set up the lights, white balance the camera....that's when me and God are alright! But the boredom until then....ugh!!!!
